STOMPer driveby came across a facebook photo of an excuse chit apparently provided by SMRT to commuters delayed by the recent MRT disruptions and breakdowns.
The STOMPer said the photo has gone viral on facebook.
The photo was captioned: "SMRT provides excuse chits to commuters who are late for work, school and exams. Apparently, disruption along the Circle Line was not anticipated."
It is unclear if this is genuine, as it could be a hoax.
Said driveby:
"This is actually quite hilarious!
"While I admire SMRT's initiative, I honestly think that they should save the money used to print these excuse chits and use it to repair their trains or tracks.
"When the trains are working, people can get to work on time and there won't even be a need for these excuse chits anymore."
