Several STOMPers were affected by train delays at stations along the East West Line this evening (April 13).

"Heard there's a defective train at Simei. Holding up the entire green line.

"These pictures were taken at City Hall. May just turn out to be nothing.

STOMPer Poh Heng commented:

"Train delay at Tanjong Pagar Station.

"This is the crowd after 15 minutes of the train heading towards Pasir Ris not moving.

"And still waiting.

"Two announcements made over the past 8 minutes of delay due to delay in trains ahead! Sigh! is this because of Friday The 13th!!"

STOMPer stompernet added:

"Train delayed again?!

"The train was delayed again this evening at Buona Vista Station!

"The operator only announced after 10 minutes of waiting. The announcement made by the operator wasn't even clearly announced. He is like mumbling to himself more likely than making an announcement.

"C'mon SMRT! How long more do you guys need to get everything back on track?"

STOMPer Sudhakar said:

"SMRT train broke down.

"MRT train from Pasir Ris that started at 7pm today had mechanical failure and was towed by another train from Tampines to Simei.  

"Passengers from both the defected and towing trains have been requested to alight at Simei MRT."

What commuter do during train breakdown ? Squat?

"SMRT train stops three times every station.

"I ended work at Tiong Bahru Plaza and I took a train home as usual. Normally, trains only need at most 40 minutes to get to Bedok, but today it took me 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to Bedok.

"Can I ask what SMRT is doing nowadays? We paid so much in fares to get home later?

"Seriously, I am fed up with waiting for train delays. SMRT has to solve this issue fast."
