How can tutor encourage kids to cheat? She provides new service to do their homework

STOMPer kiasuparent is concerned to find an ad by a tutor offering to do children's homework for a fee. The tutor even suggested that she 'purposely do some questions wrongly' to make it look more believable.

Said the STOMPer:

"I don't think that's what a 'Learning Nation' is about. The point of homework is not to complete it, but to learn from it.

"The proverb 'practice makes perfect' doesn't exist for nothing.

"I wonder which parents would actually pay for such services. The student will probably not learn anything and the parent will wonder at the end of the day why his/her child obtained such poor grades despite submitting such 'excellent' work.

"Furthermore, this breeds a generation of youngsters who lack integrity.

"I'm ashamed that local teachers are even offering such services.

"Teachers are supposed to be role models, and not play a part in deceiving others.

"Someone should feedback this to MOE."

@raz0r: Let's see the kids get pass that primary and secondary school stage if they know absolutely nothing about their work. And tbh, primary and secondary school is where you learn your basics which you'll require to utlise them to understand the JC topics. I wonder when was the last time you went to a school.

Makes no sense. This isn't like uni assignments. most of the time your final grade isn't dependent on homework. You don't practice how you score for the tests that matter...

Nothing wrong with that. You're not gonna use Pri and Sec maths anyway when you grow up to work.
