STOMPer kiasuparent is concerned to find an ad by a tutor offering to do children's homework for a fee. The tutor even suggested that she 'purposely do some questions wrongly' to make it look more believable.
Said the STOMPer:
"I don't think that's what a 'Learning Nation' is about. The point of homework is not to complete it, but to learn from it.
"The proverb 'practice makes perfect' doesn't exist for nothing.
"I wonder which parents would actually pay for such services. The student will probably not learn anything and the parent will wonder at the end of the day why his/her child obtained such poor grades despite submitting such 'excellent' work.
"Furthermore, this breeds a generation of youngsters who lack integrity.
"I'm ashamed that local teachers are even offering such services.
"Teachers are supposed to be role models, and not play a part in deceiving others.
"Someone should feedback this to MOE."
