STOMPer Justin was concerned to see two airport workers using buggies to ram each other in full view of 50 people at the Terminal 1 viewing mall. A moving aircraft apparently had to stop because of the fighting.
Justin wrote:
"I was at Changi Airport Terminal 1 viewing mall at 3pm when my friends and I saw these two workers arguing at the gate and obstructing aircraft.
"One of the workers accidentally cut into the lane of another worker with his buggy. The other worker then retaliated by using his buggy like a toy to hit the worker who accidentally hit him.
"This fighting went on for 5 minutes and all the people in the viewing mall, consisting of 30 locals and 20 foreigners, were staring at the workers fighting
"The workers were also blocking the way of an aircraft that was preparing to leave the gate, and the aircraft had to stop.
"I am extremely disappointed.
"I am an aviator and if Singapore is to become a bustling aviation industry in Asia, how can we afford to have such acts taking place?
"The argument was broken up by the supervisors on station soon after."
