Kenny decided to make his 24th birthday an unforgettable one, hence choosing to hold it at Zouk. What he did not expect though, was a surprise 'Jack Daniels' birthday cake baked by his good friend or a hangover from the aftermath of the exciting night.
Kenny shares:
"It’s the first year after I finished my national service and I wanted to make it a happening and memorable one. So I decided to organise my birthday party at Zouk and it turned out to be the best party of my life for my 24th birthday!
"I invited all my close friends to party together and we opened four bottles and two tables that night. The total amount spent, and alcohol drank is the most ever!
"The night turned out to be super fun as planned!
"It began with my good friend Ally surprising me by baking a Jack Daniel’s lookalike cake for me and giving it to me at the bus stop! It is so sweet of her and it tasted superb with chocolate mint and bailey alcohol in it! It is the first time someone baked a cake for my birthday and I was really touched by it!
"We then looked for a cosy spot and ate the cake under a random lamp post near Zouk. We had lots of fun singing and taking photos together!
"They even played a prank on me by putting some magic candles which can never be blown out!
"Next we proceeded to our main event at Zouk. The tables have already been prepared and reserved so we all skipped the queue and walk into the club like VIPs!
"The four bottles we ordered included Chivas, Martell and Hennessy! We have 3 mixers each for each bottle, totalling to 12 jugs of mixers! We randomly chose our mixers and had a whole bunch of people looking at us when the mixers arrived, as our tables look the most spectacular that night!
"Next they ordered two cocktails for me and insisted I finished them before the real partying starts. It’s a small ‘birthday punishment’ I must accept. We also ordered a Flaming Lambo and Graveyard cocktails. I have never tried them before but they made me finish the Flaming Lambo and Graveyard in succession!
"Initially, I felt normal but after a while, the effects kicked in and I got high! When I recalled what I did that night the next day, I did felt a bit awkward as my friends told me that I was full of energy, jumping and shouting throughout the night!
"After my cocktails, we went showed off our groovy moves at the dance floor. When we get tired after a period of time, we played some guessing games at our tables. The loser had to finish a cup of alcohol for every round. The games got quite fast and intense, resulting in us finishing all of our bottles! As usual, they planned their moves together and I drank the most again! What an unfortunate birthday boy I was. We continued dancing, partying and taking a lot of photos till the lights came on before leaving Zouk.
"Fun times always passes very fast and before we knew it, we were flagging cabs and leaving Zouk one by one. Some of my friends followed me all the way back home and told me I vomited a few times on the way back. "I woke up with a huge hangover the next day. Even though the after-effects of the party were not so pleasant, the fun throughout the night made the effort of organising the party worth it!
"I am proud and fortunate to have such an awesome gang of friends around, showering me with so much love and happiness on my 24th birthday. They made it such a superb and unforgettable birthday party for me. A big thank you to all my lovely friends for making that night possible! Without them, the party would not have been as fun and unforgettable."
