When Nuraini first switched schools, Tiara was the first person she hated the sight of. Who knew that they would bond two years later, and end up as best friends.
Said Nuraini:
"'The 1st Time is when I was transferred to that school, all I hated was to see her face
"Hani: It was 10 Years ago and I was in Primary 5, when my family moved to Woodlands and also I changed schools.
"So in June 2001, the date which I don't remember, was my first day of school there. Everything seemed weird to me. The students there, the teachers...I just didn't know why.
"So this enemy of mine, who is called Tiara @ Tara, was the first person that I hated to see.
"She would stare and give me some kind of unhappy look. She loves to shout, would raise her voice...well what I can say is SHE IS PLAINLY, WEIRD. So I just ignored here for the whole duration of my Primary 5-6 there...we didn't even talk.
"Two years later, in 2003, when I was in Secondary school, on 30th or 31st Aug 2003, the eve of Teachers' Day, a few of my friends and I went back to our Primary school for Teachers' Day to meet up with our old friends.
"Guess who I saw? This TIARA ..and I just smiled at her (as I just think that let bygones be bygones). Then she approached me. We then talked, laughed, then finally exchanged numbers.
"So from there we always hung out, chit-chatted and I even met her dad. SHAWN was his name. The first time Tiara brought me over to her house, I really feel scared, as she told me that her dad is fierce and would just scold if anything seemed not right to him.
"SO I bravely just went in and met him. My heart was really pumping fast as I was afraid he might disapprove of our friendship; but nah everything was not as I pictured. It was just fine.
"After meeting her dad a few times, I became close to him. He even gave me money to shop with Tara, he bought me food and there was one time when he called me into Tara's room and wanted to talk to me alone.
"So Tara went out and left me alone with him. Seriously I felt really scared as I was wondering what he wanted to talk about. So here it goes: He asked me to sit on his lap and told me, 'I know you're a good friend of Tiara's, and I just hope that you and Tiara will always be there for each other. I don't want to see you both smoking, drinking or doing any bad things...UNDERSTAND!? and I just nodded...then he went out.
"As per normal we started our nonsense. Laughing and stuffs...the same thing again for the next few weeks...and then there was this one time when we suddenly lost contact, for about 2 months and when I called her home and mobile phone, all were unavailable, so I waited and waited like finally when I called her house, I heard her voice and asked her where were you? I've tried contacting but you're nowhere to be seen or heard?
"Tara replied in a soft and sad tone and said, 'My dad just passed away a month ago, I really feel sad and at the moment I don't wanna talk or meet anybody.'
"I replied: 'Why didn't you tell me, at least I could meet you, right? And finally we met and we became close again. I still remember those days when she would tell me stories of her dad and she would cry with me, smile with me, stay overnight with me and we really did stupid things together, during our younger days.
"Now she is married with two beautiful kids and a nice husband. Really a complete family. Be happy always, my darling Tara.
"My message to her: I'm so sorry my BFF, I know that when you needed me I wasn't really there for you. You were the bestest friend I've ever had. I know even when many people wanted to be your bestest friend, you still chose me.
"We have gone through a lot together, losing our loved one, being crazy...but YOU'RE STILL MY BFF.
"I just hope that our friendship could last till eternity.....and be safe wherever you are my darling...I love you TIARA.
"Be happy with your hubby and your kids, just remember that I'll always be the Hani that you always knew...if you need someone to talk to, to cry to, remember to message or call me ok..::))."
