Sisilyn says her grand niece, Alyssa was diagnosed with Duodenal Atresia, but seeing her lovely smile after an operation brings comfort to her heart.
Duodenal atresia is a condition in which the first part of the small bowel (the duodenum) has not developed properly. It is not open and cannot allow the passage of stomach contents.
Sisilyn wrote:
"My grand niece, Alyssa, was born on March 25, 2012.
"Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with Duodenal Atresia.
"After a successful operation in KK Hospital, she was discharged two weeks later.
"She is a bundle of joy to everyone in the family. Seeing her lovely smile brings comfort to our hearts.
"Thanks God that she is recuperating well at home.
"I would like to thank the doctors and nurses in KK Hospital who had showered their tender care and concerns upon this beautiful Alyssa.
"We are looking forward to her full month celebration soon."
