Oops, line break after 'smoking' in school handbook could give parents wrong idea
A sentence in a secondary school's handbook reads, 'parents ensure student signs up for smoking'. It then continues on the next line, 'cessation sessions at polyclinics'. STOMPer JumpingFox feels this error gives parents the wrong idea.
Said the STOMPer:
"This secondary school student handbook 2012 rules section states that the consequences of possessing tabacco are that 'parents ensure student signs up for smoking'.
"This is the first time I've seen a school 'encouraging' students to smoke.
"Are students to follow this 'rule'?"
