Hougang mailbox left wide open: SingPost takes action against staff
SingPost has taken disciplinary action against the staff member who had left this mailbox in Hougang open. The mail service provider has also reminded all their staff to ensure that mailbox doors are closed before leaving them.
STOMPer Deen found the mailbox at New Industrial Road left wide open last week.
A SingPost spokesperson told STOMP:
"We thank STOMPer Deen for his feedback.
"The posting box was locked on the same day.
"We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
"We have since taken disciplinary action against the said staff. We have also reminded all staff including him to check and ensure that the door of the posting box is securely fastened before leaving the place."
