No shelter at CK Tang's MRT exit, so people forced to brave rain and sun
Tweet
Most well-used pathways in Singapore have shelters to protect pedestrians against the elements, but this one - in the heart of busy Orchard Road no less - is a glaring exception.
Here's what Fire Phoenix had to say about the situation:
"We have sheltered walkways all over Singapore to shelter the people against the hot sun and the pouring rain.
"But it seems someone missed out the Orchard MRT Station exit to Orchard Road in front of CK Tangs.
"People coming out from Orchard MRT station during a downpour have to dash across the one-meter gap between the MRT exit and the shelter of CK Tangs.
"It is quite a sight to watch peoples' reactions to the rain when they step out of the exit."

No offense to the one posting this video but it seems like éither you're an alien or very spoilt as a child. "Forced to brave the sun or rain?" What..? Next you'll post a video that not only shelters to be made all the way from home to work, also that the govt should build auto-land transporter so that we dont have to walk from our home to the bus-stop? Be reasonable...Get REAL!

no big deal. brave sun little bit also cannot. then how want 2 brave hell???? better 2 brave sun and get some vitamins. without sunlight, no vitamin D. so how want 2 survive. if u go to some countries in Europe like Italy, France or Turkey, u can see that people are braving the snow or rain or sun at the bus stops as most of the bus stops there are shelterless. look at how we singaporeans are pampered

Wah lau, Fire Pheonix, first ask government to build a shelter that link your flat all the way to the MRT station lah then from the MRT station all the way to your workplace so rain or shine, you will be 100% protected.
