With Really Simple Syndication or RSS, you can get regular updates of content from STOMP sent to your RSS reader. These consist of headlines that link back to the full news article, as well as multimedia content. You can choose to sign up for as many sections from the list below as you like, depending on your interests.

This service is free. To find out more about what RSS is and how to subscribe, please see below.

What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is an XML-based format for delivering content on the Internet to users as it is being updated. Like subscribing to a newspaper or magazine, you can subscribe to your favourite websites for regular updates of their content.

How do I use RSS?
You will need to download a program called a news reader. This displays RSS information feeds from your favourite websites on your computer. With STOMP, you'll need to choose which categories you want updates on - for example "This urban jungle", "In the heartlands" or "What bugs me" in the Singapore Seen section. You can add the categories you want from the list above after you have downloaded a news reader.

How do I get a news reader?
RSS readers may also be called feed readers or news aggregators. Some examples are Google Reader, My Yahoo!, and Bloglines. You can sign up for them at no charge. There are a range of these available online. Different news readers work on different operating systems, so please take this into account when you choose one, and follow the instructions.
