Parking in handicap lot: Action taken against riders, says NTUC Income

NTUC Income has taken action against its riders who had parked illegally in handicap lots on Monday (Oct 3). STOMPer Mr Tan spotted the distinctive vehicles parked in a handicap lot at Block 21 Defu Lane.

Bill O'Connell, Director of Orange Force, NTUC Income, told STOMP:

"I refer to the STOMP online story titled “NTUC Income riders think they're special?” posted on 3 October 2011.

"We regret that this incident took place and the inconvenience caused to those affected. We apologise for our action.

"Since this incident, we have reviewed the details of the case and taken appropriate action against the staff involved.

"We have also tightened our internal processes and training to ensure such an incident would not happen again."
