STOMPer curryneh was concerned for the safety of fellow drivers when a woman driver suddenly started swerving into lanes and overtaking vehicles without signalling along Sembawang Road.

The STOMPer described the incident (Sep 26):

"Lady thinks she is F1 driver.

"At about 4.35pm yesterday, this Audi (SKC 6461S) was swerving into lanes and overtaking vehicles without signaling along Sembawang Road.

"She was driving well above the speed limit of 70km/h.

"At the junction of Sembawang Road and Gambas Avenue, just before Seletaris Apartment, she overtook the taxi I was in from the left as soon as the light turned green.

"This resulted in the vehicles in her lane and ours to slam on our brakes to avoid collision.

"Some drivers even blared their horns and flashed their headlights at her, but she seemed ignorant.

"She sped off, and continued to drive in a dangerous manner, well above the speed limit of 60km/h along that stretch of road.

"When the taxi I was in caught up with her at the traffic lights after Sembawang Shopping Center, I saw her wearing sunglasses driving with a young child, who was sitting right behind.

"She was in the middle lane then and about to make a right turn. Again she wasn’t signalling.

"As soon as the lights turned green, she just accelerated way beyond the designated pocket meant for cars making a right turn.

"There was a lorry on the opposite end turning, which created a blind spot for oncoming traffic. This was when I decided to snap a picture of her car.

"She just kept edging her car, in a knee jerk manner towards the centre. A few cars from the opposite side flashed their beams at her.

"Well it didn't seem to bother her 'Hamilton' style of driving.

"She may be in a hurry but she has no right to put others' lives in danger, especially that of the child who is sitting right behind her."
