Dangerous pillion riders: They go without helmets or just put on a cap

STOMPers missyj and Diana saw pillion riders on a motorcycle and a motorised bicycle respectively who did not wear a helmet when riding.

Said missyj (Aug 28):

"Saw this bike or bicycle on the road at City Hall.

"The 'bike' caught my attention because the rider was wearing a helmet but the pillion was only wearing a cap..."

Added STOMPer Diana in her email:

"Saw a motorist at Hougang Ave 2, towards Ang Mo Kio Ave 3, on the evening of Aug 27.

"The motor cyclist was wearing a bicycle helmet and his passenger had no safety helmet.

"They were going at around 70km/h

"They later drove on the pavement and continued into Yio Chu Kang Road, which is dangerous for pedestrians, especially at the speed they were travelling at."

The pillion's skull is made of advanced shaped memory alloy. If the bike skid and the pillion's head is ran over by a truck, the skull will form back to shape. Too bad if the body is run over.

Law is made by man and also meant to be broken by man...let's not take law into our own hands...there was one event of lorry failure to give way to pedestrian;I complained and gave details to TP and was advised that I would inconvenience myself as a witness and attend numerous courts session...and ultimately, if the culprit gets fined, the money goes to the govt...what for???
