Why so kiasu? SMRT cab has 5 annoying brake lights that don't stop shining

STOMPer Keito was annoyed to see this SMRT cab with five brake lights. What is worse, the lights continue to shine even when they driver was not applying his brakes.

He said:

"On Friday evening, I was driving along the CTE towards Ang Mo Kio, when I saw this new SMRT cab in front of me with five brake lights!

"Normally we only have three. The problem is that the two extra brake lights do not dim down even when the cab was not braking.

"So it is irritating to the driver behind it!

"It really blurred my vision after a couple of minutes staying behind the car and it left me with no choice but to change lanes.

"Is it legal to have two extra brake lights, and for it to be shining brightly all the way even when the driver is not applying the brakes?

"It's really a hazard to other drivers."

as this taxi must hv these lights for some time, i am surprised that no traffic police or patrol car has seen it on the roads? Or they turn a blind eye to this taxi....Looks like someone such as the MP for Mountbatten has to write to the authorities again...

Check your headlights if it's switched at 'High'. I love to have such lights against High beamers and cheapo HID modders!
