The peace and quiet of a neighbourhood at Jurong West was disturbed at close to midnight by a Lamborghini owner. He revved his engine loudly after residents told him his idling car was causing noise pollution, said STOMPer TanWL.

TanWL wrote in his contribution (Apr 23):

"On 23rd April 2011 at 2355hrs, this insensitive driver (male Chinese, bespectacled and in his forties) found a very 'ingenious' way to terrorise the serenity of a heartland neighborhood at Block 724 Jurong West Ave 5.

"Not only did the driver willfully cause an obstruction along the carpark, but he childishly and cowardly reiterated this with the heart-thumping, high-revving roars of his super car in the wee hours of the night.

"This which would have woken up many young (babies) and old folks from their sleep.

"This was after he was told off by residents over the noise pollution generated by his idling car.

"If you have been to the F1 race in Singapore, you should know what I mean. There is an enormously high decibel level of noise generated by these F1 cars.

"This misfit driver may have proven his points of showcasing the alluring performance of his Lamborghini‘s muscle and showing no regard for any impending speeding and noise pollution fines that might be levied on him.

"Cynically, I empathise with this owner who may have deep pockets to burn but has 101% fallen short and has not measured up to the class of being a worthy super car owner!"
