STOMPer Tan does not think it wise that these officers park their bikes on the pavement while on duty every morning - their bikes are obstructing pedestrians and could easily be knocked over.
Certis Cisco has clarified that the officer is not from their agency, contrary to what the STOMPer alleged. STOMP understands that there are other auxiliary police forces in Singapore besides Certis Cisco and some private carpark operators also employ enforcement officers.
Tan writes of his worries:
"Every morning, they (Certis Cisco officers) park along the walkway and stand at the bus lane to take pictures of drivers violating the law.
"Are they allowed to park on walkway?
"What if pedestrians walk by and run into the motorcycle?
"Also, isn't it illegal for motorcycles to park on the pavement? So isn't their behaviour contradictory to their occupations?"
