Cabbie stops in yellow box and ignores other road users horning at him
STOMPer Kevin was on the road when he witnessed this inconsiderate act. The taxi driver apparently had utter disregard for traffic rules as he stopped in the yellow box. He then ignored other road users who horned at him.
The STOMPer said in an email to us today (Apr 13):
"Unbearable attitute of Singapore Taxi drivers.
"Total disregard for the Yellow Box junction despite horning from other road users."

i want to post a question to everyone. I once witness a public bus at the traffic light junctions between Douby MRT and Plaza Sing. It was well after 8pm, and there was a cab in front of the bus in the RED bus lane. When the 'B' sign came on, the bus started to horn at the cabbie. Obviously the cabbie couldnt move, but the bus kept sounding his horn. In this case, is the driver being an idiot, or the cabbie shouldnt enter the bus lane at all? even after 8pm?

from the picture, it is fking obvious that u yourself is also in part of the yellow box.. doesn't that make u the same too?!?1 and just because u have your own car, dont need to take taxi, u think have the right to say "Unbearable attitute of Singapore Taxi drivers"!! so next time if i see a driver flouting rules, i can say the stomper has an unbearable attitude as well since the stomper is a driver too?!?!

Since he is already in there even if u horn till the horn cannot work the cabby will still remain there unless the car infront move forward, he is wrong to be in the yellow box but no point horning stupid act.

I hope the TP and driving schools are paying attention to the posts here. All the wayang wayang expensive lessons and mock test before actual test etc and most of you have no idea how to approach and use a yellow box junction?

Yes, this is very inconsiderate behaviors. But why pick only on the cab driver? Seem to me the vehicle right in front (beside the cab) is occupied almost half of the yellow box as well. So is that acceptable? Generally when it comes to peak hour and traffic jam pple just dun care about yellow box. Try and change that.

Kevin - of course, you are a darling on the roads and have never stopped in a yellow box?
