Drivers tailgate other vehicles to enter and exit carpark without paying

More and more drivers are tailgating other vehicles to enter and exit carparks so that they don't have to pay the parking fee.

This 'cheating the system' tactic works as the carpark gantry doesn't detect the second vehicle which is close-by, says STOMPer Chong.

The STOMPer says:

"This happened on 15th Dec 09 at AMK Hub carpark at 9pm.

"The owner of this vehicle (in the photo) used the 'follow the front vehicle closely' tactic and exited the carpark without paying his parking fee.

"This tactic works and the 2nd vehicle will not be detected as another vehicle exiting the gantry.

"Carpark management usually will not pursue the matter further as the cost to investigate may not be viable.

"This happens at other carparks as well, eg Suntec.

"To these vehicle owners who try to cheat the system: If you don't have money to park - Don't Drive!

"You may cause unnecessary accidents to the front vehicle."

Who cares, nothing to do with me,the parking charges don't go into my pocket, nor any commission for reporting them.

If the car behind hit me,I will say thanks for the New paint work/Bumper/MC and medical claims

There AMK Hub, you got the licience plate of a cheater. No high investigating costs, just call the police and report, of course together with the video evidence from the cameras at the carpark exit barriers on that particular day.
