This tricycle, parked nightly near a bend in a multi-storey carpark in Jurong West, has caused some dangerous near-misses, says STOMPer Cornelius.
Cornelius describes the situation:
"It started with one tricycle parking nightly at Jurong West Street 61 Blk 624A Multi-storey Car Park 1B. It was parked right at the turning point for cars to go up and down the carpark.
"One evening before the MSCP lights were lit, when the carpark was in pitch darkness due to rainy weather, an accident nearly happened.
"A pickup in front, initially unaware of the tricycle, had to e-brake before he hit it.
"The car behind him was caught off guard but was lucky to e-brake in time before he hit the pickup.
"The tricycle is just an accident waiting to happen.
"I emailed West Coast Town Council about it. The person-in-charge replied that it was not their responsibility and forwarded the email to HDB.
"Since then, no news. Meanwhile, the tricycle continued to park at the MSCP every night. And since nobody is objecting, why not two tricycles? And I will not even be surprised if a whole row of tricycles started to form along the wall eventually."
