Is it safe to ferry school children in this heap of scrap metal?

This school bus was in such a bad shape that it made STOMPer Kimson worry about the safety of the children who travelled on it.

Kimson says:

"I saw this school bus at a traffic light and was surprised to see the poor condition it was in.

"In my opinion, this bus should have been scrapped a long time ago.

"It struck me, looking at the registration plate that this bus ferries school children to and from school daily.

"My thought was that if this was how the operator maintains the vehicle on the outside, I can only imagine if the parts on the inside are equally in such a bad shape and whether it was road worthy at all.

"Doesn't the LTA have any minimum standards? If it does, I am sure that this is not it at all.

"Perhaps the operator spent all his money on bidding for the 'lucky' number."

To Onemanstanding ... are you the bus driver? If not, then how you know? The STOMPer is merely asking if this is the standard that LTA has set. Talk about yaya papaya ... look in the mirror first!

To "Implication" - Look first also before you "anyhow accuse" people of using handphone while driving ... you will notice on the right side of the picture that there is a red light at the traffic junction which means that the vehicles are stationery ... so please practice what you preach dumbass!

C'mon, give the guy a break. He is only concerned about the safety of the children. What if it was your children taking this school bus? Does it take an accident and children get injured or worse get killed before action is taken to enforce some form of minimum safety standard in these buses? Or are we going to let these operators out profit before safety? I leave you to decide ...
