Car overturns after collision with van at Tampines junction

STOMPer Lycity was taken aback when he witnessed an accident between a car and a van car at the junction of Tampines Avenue 10 and Tampines Avenue 1, which left the car overturned.

Luckily, nobody was hurt in the accident.

The sender hopes to remind all drivers not to speed and to drive carefully.

STOMPer Lycity says in an email dated September 21:

"There was no casualty. Although an ambulance happened to be at the scene at the same time, SCDF officers rejected public help till later.

"The driver of the van was unhurt and very lucky. The car was overturned.

"I caught the whole accident on video and offered it to the SCDF officer but he said that they didn't need it"

The police have responded with the following information:

"The police received a call at about 12 noon on September 21 about an accident involving a car and a van at the junction between Tampines Avenues 1 and 10.

"The driver of the car, a man in his late thirties, complained of pain in the neck and was conveyed to CGH conscious."

OMG!!!! It's relatively simple did you see flash of the red light camera or did your car video capture the flash? It's a gun metal car not light blue. This video may cause trouble to the car driver if there was a camera flash or may aid the driver if nothing was captured. I think the car in front of you should also witness whether there was flash or not.

Lycity did you even get down your car and lodge your statement with the traffic police? There is a red light camera at ave 10 and what if the car did not beat the red light? Are you making an assumption basing on your valuable car video! If so you are just causing trouble for the car driver. As a witness you must be very sure of the situation but kudos to you for stepping up.

From the video it was indicated as "malay male van driver", what we heard was a female van driver! So male or female???

From the video, it's not 100% beating light. Red light on video taken, the car side maybe green. Any witness behind the car?
