Commercial vehicles slow down traffic on the second lane
STOMPer Polar Bear wonders why commercial vehicles hog the second lane.
Polar Bear said:
"I have been wondering why all these commercial vehicles like to drive at lane 2 when there are 4 lanes.
"Aren't they suppose to keep left?
"It is very frustrating when they are driving at 2nd lane at a speed of 70 or even 60 and the last lanes are all empty without any vehicles driving.
"I realize that sometimes this is the reason that is causing traffic jams even when there is no accident.
"I really hope that they would like considerate enough to keep left and let cars overtake."

as long as can drive 50kmh,any motorvehile can travel on expressway liao, tats y MID oso can. car very fast meh, if not for the 70kmh limit, most can easily overtake cars or bikes lo. anyway 1st lane or wat on tat stretch is v common, towards tuas leh. land of commercial industrues. lta or police no catch, so no problem at all ah. btw, the expressway lanes so wide is for lorry. so cars using it ald got more buffer and can drive more easily, so dun complain so much. if not for commercial lorry handling logistics issues, company hw to earn $$, and tis in turn contrivutes to e economy and equal good and wide road for all drivers,so lets all share w peace.

LTA needs these drivers and lots of traffic lights to slow down the traffic, so that they can comment that the road is over congested..... and maybe erect another ERP Gantry?

there are regulations against their actions and not being taken, thats the reason. agree with you, sometimes they are causing jams and the authorities just take it as an excuse.
