1 morning, 4 dangerous cyclists -- all spotted by driver within 30 min

STOMPer gentleliving encountered four cyclists while driving this morning (Aug 23), and every last one was breaking a traffic rule in some way.

The STOMPer wrote:

"Within 30 minutes of my drive this morning, I encountered four incidents involving cyclists making very bad decisions on the road:

"1st incident: Cyclist and motorbike almost collide at traffic junction.

"2nd: Cyclist cuts into path of car, tries to beat lights.

"3rd: Cyclist rides on pavement.

"4th: Cyclist joins cars heading towards expressway.

"I saw four cyclists within 30 minutes, and all four broke the law.

"This is stressful, frustrating and dangerous for everyone (motorists and pedestrians) who are going about their daily lives, trying to use the roads properly."

one effective method to stop all this errant cyclist abusing the road is to implement licence plate for cyclist. this will definitely work as they could not get away. since they are using road for car, truck and motorbike, it make more sense for all cyclist using public road to have a license tag to their bicycle. this will make those cyclist abusing the road to be punishable. i hope TP and our GOV would look into as Cyclist keep claiming that they are being abuse on the Road in Singapore.

Not too long ago tp are always on the road & highway to catch errant motorist, but they seems to have gone soft & comfy on tge job. Now mostly hide in sheltered overhead bridges to take photo, i said comfy, why? because you will find them on non sheltered o/h bridges. Every day & at any time, irresponsible driver behaviour are not put in checked. Is it they have manpower issue? Is the top guy waiting for something catastrophic to happen before he decides to pass orders to correct the situation? Any ideas on how to get them to stop sitting on their butts & go on the roads to kick some butts?

This morning i drove my company's pickup for some work errands while leaving my car at home. On the ECP while keeping to the left most lane and maintaining the legal speed limit, only three or less cars stick to the speed limits and i've lost count the countless numbers of cars grossly exceeding the speed limit. And that is speeding alone, not including reckless lane changes, fsilure to signal and tailgatings. Stomper only came across four reckless cyclists, and for every one of the latter, i can easily point oiut a hundred reckless drivers.
