STOMPer David was travelling on the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) earlier today when an SMRT bus driver cut abruptly into his lane, almost causing an accident.
Said the STOMPer:
"Today I almost had an accident with a bus (No. 963) on the BKE highway towards Woodlands Checkpoint.
"He was already on the lane towards SLE Exit 8.
"But suddenly near the junction of the SLE exit, the bus driver changed lane abruptly back towards BKE highway without even signalling.
"I was exiting to SLE and had no choice but to avoid his bus swaying towards BKE highway. Luckily, there was no car on the other lane.
"When my car slowed down, I looked at his face.
"It was a foreign driver.
"He looked back at me as if he was doing nothing wrong.
"All the cars behind him also honked and high-beamed him as well.
"Yet he still changed lane back to BKE highway.
"What a dangerous driver!!
"Why allow this kind of dangerous drivers on the road??
"Does the authority even conduct necessary driving tests for foreign drivers before they are certified to drive the bus?
"I am afraid commuters are in the hand of dangerous bus drivers.
"Also their actions put other road users in hazardous situations."

To myrating: In future, please study the posts/videos/pictures carefully and get your facts right before making comments. Consider taking up basic theory lessons if you are able to, then move on slowly from there.
From the video, it is obvious that the bus driver is at fault and Stomper David is keeping in his lane to Exit 8. Bus service 963 should exit at Exit 10A(after Exit 8) on the BKE. I believe he realized that he made the mistake while still on the lane to Exit 8. Thus, he changed lanes quickly to go back on BKE, without care for other road users.
Luckily, everyone is safe... :)
Have a good day!
