Driver beats red light at junction and almost crashes into another car

STOMPer kiwi saw this driver beat a red light at the junction of South Buona Vista Road and Kent Ridge Road last evening (May 21), nearly colliding with another car. This driver is said to be a foreigner and had a child beside him without a seatbelt on.

Said the STOMPer:

"Less than 2 weeks after the Ferrari driver Ma Chi killed a cabby at Bugis, I witnessed another foreigner beat a red light at the junction of South Buona Vista Road and Kent Ridge Road.

"He almost killed a Vios driver.

"Notice that the traffic light (left of video) has been red with green arrow for quite a while, and several cars had already made their right turns.

"Then, the black Black Mitsubishi Grande zoomed past, scaring the hell out of the Vios driver.

"After I made my left turn, the black Grande was still nearby, waiting to turn into Science Park Drive.

"I took a look, and inside the black Grande was a Middle-Eastern or Eastern European looking man with a young toddler beside him (without child seat or seat belt on).

"Beware of this man in his SJE1370E black Grande."

@ocliff70, I use this junction everyday. When you come out from NUS (right turn), you turn into the right-hand-side lane and come to this junction. Here, both lanes can turn left. And when there are no cars on your left, it is usual to change to the left lane so you don't get blocked by cars turning right into Science Park Drive.

Dear Stomper, it appears you turned into the wrong lane as well. This is also very dangerous.

The other driver is still wrong. The area is a small community. It won't be hard to track him down and deliver a handwritten warning to his car. Being tracked down will make him wake up.
