Slow traffic during peak hour not excuse for drivers to switch lanes illegally
Traffic is slow around along Havelock Road during peak hour every morning, but STOMPer Peter thinks this does not give drivers an excuse to switch lanes illegally.
He wrote:
"Illegal switching lane at Havelock Road at 8.24am.
"A lot of cars were switching lanes across the double white lines, including the red car in the picture, which is illegal.
"Traffic was slow but that doesn't mean you can cross the double white lines.
"I've noticed that many drivers switch lanes illegally before they enter and after they exit the Havelock Road tunnel every morning around this time."

It's either u hv no good driving skills or u jealous u can't do anything when stuck at heavy traffic. Why do u even need to stomp this car here? U mean u are so goody goody u never do anything illegal like walking across the road when it's still Red Man or not using the bridge when u should, or stopping ur car inside junction box knowing that box is for other cars coming in from the side, etc? Before u start happily take pix of others doing wrong, remember others can also take u when u are doing wrong!

The driving license in singapore is just a piece of paper to many of these recalcitrant drivers.

Agree that the planning was not good. The CTE Havelock exit opens into the left/right and with morning traffic/lousy drivers, some drivers will try to relieve jams by getting out, even if there is a double white line. If you have the time, wait. If not, then some will take the risk.

LTA planing fail, drivers find it difficult keeping to the left and turning left at the next junction after exiting from Havelock Tunnel. And they solved their problem by deploying more traffic warden on that stretch of road what a moron.
