A Jack Russell that went missing after wandering out of STOMPer Eshiqa's Jurong East home 14 days ago has been found, thanks to the STOMP community.
Eshiqa had wrote in an appeal for Oreo's whereabouts, and offered $1,000 for anyone who could tell her the whereabouts of her dog.
Thankfully, a Pasir Ris resident came across the story on STOMP, and recognized the dog as the same one a neighbour had taken in to care for earlier.
When Eshiqa approached the neighbour's familly and offered them the $1,000 reward, they turned it down as 'they took him in as a gesture of a goodwill'.
Recounting the story, Eshiqa said that Oreo was taken in by the neighbour after his colleague had found it in Tuas.
This was what STOMPer Eshiqa wrote in her note of thanks:
"I have found my dear Oreo and it would not have happened without help from the STOMP community in getting my story out there.
"Oreo had actually wandered off to Tuas Avenue 1 and ended up being found by a gentleman who works there.
"He was then taken in graciously by the gentleman's colleague.
"The colleague and his family stays in Pasir Ris and has been taking care of him for the past three weeks.
"I would like to sincerely thank the whole family for the kind gesture and also, the gentleman's neighbour who saw the post in Stomp and alerted me to his whereabouts.
"Also, the family declined the reward offered as they took him in as a gesture of goodwill and not for any other reasons. Again, thank you for reuniting me with my dear Oreo. God bless."
