'Temple' at Bukit Batok: Resident advised to remove items, says Town Council

The Choa Chu Kang Town Council has conducted checks on a flat in Bukit Batok which was apparently being used as a temple. The resident has since been advised to remove his personal belongings which are cluttering up the corridor.

The checks were carried out after a STOMPer sent in a contribution about a Bukit Batok resident who decorated his flat like a temple and cluttered up the corridor with his own personal belongings.

A spokesperson for the Town Council wrote:

"We refer to the post contributed by STOMPer Zhang, ‘Bukit Batok resident turns flat into 'temple', uses common corridor as storeroom’ (21 Feb 2012).

"We have advised the residents to remove the two flags at the common corridor as well as the items placed at the staircase landing.

"Please do not hesitate to call us at 6569 0388 for further assistance or clarifications."

Can TC send in another picture of the corridor that has been cleared & unwanted stuff removed?

Otherwise we won't believe any action is done & NATO only in this case.

Set rules lah HDB u tolerance is way too much pls check with other building mgt. We have rules but everything can if no complaints...such attitude of ppl and HDB must change.

What about the noise created when they carried out their religious activity at night? Are the neighbours expected to exercise tolerance again even though HDB rules are breached in the first place, that no religious activity is allowed in HDB flats! What is HDB doing to enforce the rule? Nothing again?!!
