STOMPer Kannan was annoyed that his child could not play at a playground in Lorong Lew Lian as a group of youngsters had occupied it to smoke and drink beer.
The STOMPer wrote:
"At around 3pm, a group of youngsters were chatting and playing with their iPads and iPhones at the playground.
"The guys were smoking and dropping the cigarette ashes on the slide. They even spilled coke & beer.
"My son requested them to move away but they were least bothered about him.
"He cried and came back to me.
"Why did they occupy the playground when there are parks for them to sit and chat?
"The most annoying thing is that they threw cigarette ashes and coke tins at the playground.
"How can a child play on a slide full of ashes? They will definitely get an infection if they do.
"It's a disgrace to a clean city like Singapore. The Government must take severe actions against these litterbugs.
"Youngsters must be refrained from using the playground which is meant for children younger than 12 years old."
