STOMPer Max caught a rat that hid in his flat at Choa Chu Kang. The STOMPer shares with readers three simple steps on how he did it.
Said the STOMPer:
"I am a resident of Choa Chu Kang Ave 1, Block 130. On the morning of February 5, 2012, I spotted a rat running from the outside corridor into my house kitchen.
"I discovered that the rat was hiding under the washing machine and used a broom to chase the rat out of the house. However, the rat did not escape through the main door and ran into my balcony.
"My dad and I tried to locate the rat but failed. Therefore, we decided to seek help from our neighbour since he was previously a pest control specialist."
Step 1: Lay traps
"My neighbour gave us a box of mousetrap (cardboard with sticky glue on top) to trap the rat. We placed a few traps on the balcony and waited for the rat to get trapped."
Step 2: Wait patiently
"After waiting for a few hours (about 3pm+) , the rat was finally caught on the mousetrap.
Step 3: Contain the pest
"I quickly used a container to contain the rat to prevent the rat from escaping."
