Lightning strike topples tree onto road, blocking traffic

STOMPer Drummer was near the entrance of Jurong Secondary School when a lightning strike caused a tree to fall onto the road, blocking traffic there.

Said the STOMPer:

"Lightning struck a tree near Jurong Secondary School.

"This occurred today at about 3.30pm.

"The tree fell onto the road and disrupted traffic.

"Many vehicles had to U-Turn away from the blocked area.

"Some motorists tried to drive through the small portion of the road that was not blocked by the tree.

"Three buses were forced to stop a few meters away from the blocked area."
