STOMPer Zeng Tao was appalled to find a parking lot in Woodlands 'reserved' with good pallets by the staff of a supermarket nearby. According to the STOMPer, the pallets are only removed when a delivery truck arrives to unload goods.
The STOMPer wrote:
“I noticed that the staff of the Sheng Siong supermarket at Woodlands Centre Road used pellets to occupy a parking lot that was meant for the public.
“Apparently, the staff will remove the pallets for their delivery trucks to park and unload their goods before placing it back there to ‘chope’ the lot.
“I’ve made several reports about this to the relevant authorities but all the supermarket staff did was to leave part of the pallets jutting into the lot when the authorities went down to survey the situation.
“Not many drivers will dare to park in a lot which is slightly occupied by good pallets for fear of their cars getting damaged by it.
“This is an unreasonable behaviour! They already have an unloading bay yet they still take up a separate parking lot and deprive other drivers.
"The parking lot is meant for everyone!"
