Resident obstructs staircase with laundry hung out to dry

STOMPer Tan came across some laundry hung out to dry at a landing which was obstructing access to the staircase.

Says the STOMPer:

"This was seen at my block.

"I noticed that the owner had placed all his clothes at the staircase, obstructing the way.

"HDB should have a daily routine check to ensure unwanted stuff is not blocking the way for people."

you should come to where i live. so much more junk that just a clothes rack there ! I have reported to town council. they come once. tell the owners to get rid of the stuff...later on they put more things out....TOWN COUNcil DOES NOT FOLLOW UP. People grumble that HDB prices are so high. they dont realise they buy maybe a 3,4, room flat but take up so much more space free of charge. My stupid neighb our can even tell me they own the space outside their house. Its a breeding ground for cockroaches and mosquitoes!

What jerry4you said. Clothes in public space means they are clothes that anyone can take. So take them, throw them or donate them. The owner won't be able to press charges or anything like that. There's a good probability they will stop doing this when they start losing their clothes.
