STOMPer RustyHawk feels that getai events which run late should be held further away from dense residential areas as the noise can get quite loud at night.
Wrote the STOMPer:
"The good and bad of getai.
"I am a resident of Bukit Batok. I am not sure of the channel to feedback or complaint about the events that had been held in the open field opposite of my block.
"For the whole week (around 26th Nov till 4th Dec 2011), the events ended quite late, around 2230hrs to 2330hrs.
"It's quite frustrating as the noise is so clear and loud during the night time, and not to mention that residents on the higher floors tend to hear it much louder.
"I am definitely not against any religion, but just that those events have been held too frequently and even on weekdays whereby most of us are working.
"It has definitely disrupted and delayed my family's sleeping times.
"I am quite sure that the cemented area in the open field had been approved by the relevant authority for them to hold this getai event.
"My question for the relevant authority is whether these events can be held at less dense residential areas or a certain distance away from the residential blocks?
"I would be pleased if the community is able to channel this feedback to the appropriate authority, or to let me know the appropriate authority to speak to."

We are already doing religous stuff at the place desginated by the goverment and are all approved and with permits.

Why are you living in HDB then? Shouldn't you get a private condo or property? Living in HDB we had to be tolerance to all religions practices and races. If you cannot do that you should live far away. Why does the whole commnuity need to suit you and not you suit to the commnuity?
I don't have problem with chinese religion but I had problem with people who are inconsiderate with their practices. Do it at the right place just like any other religion.
Spare a thought for others, we are living in a small modern country not kampong. :)
BTW Wiseperson you got problem with chinese religion?
