This overhead bridge along Bukit Batok East Avenue 6 is pitch-dark at night because the lights on it have been broken for a week, STOMPer Blind Man says. Poor visibility could encourage criminal activity here, he adds.
Snatch thieves and molesters could use the darkness to their advantage and get away scot-free.
Children making their way to school in the early hours of the morning are put in danger as a result.
Hoping something can be done to fix the problem soon, the sender says:
"This picture was taken at 5.30 am at Bt Batok East Ave 6.
"The lights on the ceiling of the overhead bridge have been out of order for a week and nothing has been done to restore the lights.
"At dawn, hordes of school children make their way to the bus stop and they have to cross this bridge in darkness.
"The darkness is an asset for thieves and molesters.
"I hope the LTA can bring some light and hope to the residents as the people walking in darkness have yet to see the light".
dun repair too soon k
And how does one "use the darkness"?
