Friend had deep cut on thumb, yet MRT station not equipped with first-aid kit

STOMPer Lonewind is concerned by the lack of medical kits at Paya Lebar Mrt Station. According to the STOMPer, her friend did not receive proper medical assistance after suffering a deep cut there.

Lonewind writes in her email to STOMP:

"I’m writing regarding an incident on Dec 27 when my friend suffered a deep cut on her thumb and was bleeding.

"I approached the Paya Lebar MRT (Circle Line) control station to ask for medical assistance.

"To my surprise, they did not even have a medical kit. All that they were able to offer me were band-aids, which I accepted and thanked them for.

"My issue is, for a place with a high volume of human traffic, why are there no medical kits given to the control station in case of an emergency?

"For a service provider that earns millions from commuters a year, surely it's not that expensive to have a first aid kit in the stations?"

My friend was about to give birth so brought her to the control station for assistance. The SMRT staff give me band-aids. Then I call pizza hut Coz they offer free delivery. So I decide to stomp the SMRT.

What a crab news. I just simply dont believe such a big organisation do not have a first aid box?? Lonewind my advice to you, Dont get a cheap money from STOMP for a news!

Wah wintersoldier more stupid... I think u should drop by any pharmacy and check what are the main things inside a first aid kit.. Its mainly band aids!! So where do u think the staff got the band aid from??? Of cos they have first aid kits.. But they cant treat the cut cos they are not doctors!! They can only give u plasters so u can wash the wounds n cover it up then u make ur way to the clinic... Gosh.. How dumb can humans be??!!
