STOMPer LK wonders if incense paper and joss paper should be burnt in an area that is allocated as a fire engine passageway.

The STOMPer wrote in an email to STOMP today (Aug 31):

“The signboard says ‘Except Fire Engines’ but people seem oblivious to the fact it is a fire engine passageway used during a real emergency situation.

“The burning of incense and joss paper should not be allowed at this area even though if there is a non-emergency.

“Imagine if the flats nearby were on fire, the firemen has to extinguish this fire before getting near the flat.

“Residents should be more considerate when they burn incense papers.

“Moreover, the burning of incense this scale near the flats should be discouraged as the units on the lower floor will experience smoke and dust inhalation arising from the ashes.”

Can maaaah..gahmen say haf to TOLERATE waaat..even they burn incense papers in d middle of fire engines passageway..still CAAAN waat..noting wrong. ONCE IN A BLOODY YR ONLY maaaah. People who are still moron about smoke should go to this website & check it out yourself http://newshub.nus.edu.sg/news/0904/PDF/SMOKE-st-11Apr-pC5.pdf before they comment about tolerance, tahan, close widow can liao, live & let live, traditional, culture, every year like that wat, not happy move out etc. Singapore should save the money not to install smoke absorber as this group of people wish to inhale toxic smoke, most importantly to them is luck! Burn more so that the ghost will give them more luck, in return loss their health to ghost & affect others. Save the earth, save yourself. We need clean air not against religion here, do it in the license temple. Why got proper temple don't go & burn, need to pay extra is it.
