Inconsiderate neighbour hangs dripping wet clothes and shoes out to dry

STOMPer Mavuarre's neighbour has been hanging wet clothes out to dry, and recently, wet shoes as well, dirtying the clothes of those who stay below their flat. Despite attempts of amiable talks, the neighbour still continues her act, says Mavuarre.

Mavuarre wrote in the email (July 21):

"My neighbour who stays above my flat always hangs dripping clothes outside.

"I went to her house and tell her not to do this, as it spoils our laundry as well. But she started shouting at me.

'I could never hang my clothes outside till her wet clothes become drier.

"Now she has started hanging her shoes out as well. She ties her shoes with bamboo sticks using the lace. The water dirties the laundry of all those staying below her flat."

report to TC, PO will go and advise. what will happen next, PO will get scolding from PM, coz they complaint to MP about the PO, it is really a waste of time. how to uphold the law like that.

If you have a balcony what about drying your clothes indoors ! It can be difficult reasoning with a " door knob ! As you live at a lower level sadly you are at a disadvantage. Do they have tumble dryer's in sg? If you do you might want to invest in one, then all your drying problems will be solve !

Same problem here. Gone up to speak to them and they quickly said it was their maids. Aren't they supposed to teach their maids? Then it happens again and again:(

same over here.
but not just 1 apartment. 3-4 apartments.
my mom and i have gone up countless of times.
reason 1 gave was their washing machine cannot spin dry. sorry.

and then again and again...

nothing can be done...

all those flats, they have no cover for the bamboo hole. then everytime, dirty water will drop on our clothes.

damn fedup. no point going to them. they say sorry. but do again.

town council? hdb? who to call?
