Bedok condo residents trapped as flood hits carpark and lift lobby

The drivers who parked their cars in the basement of the carpark at a condominium around Bedok South were trapped because of the flood. But they were not the only ones affected. Residents were also trapped within their own estate as all the gates leading out broke down, and the lift lobby was flooded.

Eh, I think stomper does live in HDB flat. And i'm guessing probably the STOMP editors who wrote the introductory paragraph had wrote Condominium by mistake...

In the Orchard road flooding, the authorities said that the drainage was blocked by debris etc, etc.
Let's see what sort of excuse(s) the authorities would be giving us this time round now.
They put the blame on everything except themselves.
On hindsight, they did not envisaged the intensity of the flood.
Just like our mrt system, the authoirites did not expect such huge human traffic.
The crowd is queueing for the escalator to leave the platform at some mrt stations.
