According to STOMPer Publiciticist, putting up these flyers in a plastic pocket by a Bukit Batok lift is an ingenious way to advertise one’s company.

He added that it is a smart alternative to junk mail, where these flyers get jammed into mailboxes.

In his email to STOMP, the STOMPer wrote:

“These pictures were taken at the lift lobby (A and B) of Block 289B Bukit Batok Street 25.  

“When I went to visit a friend, I was surprised to see these rectangular plastic pockets glued to the side of the lift doors. 

“An air -con company had inserted a stack of flyers in the pockets so that residents could pick up a flyer before they enter the lift.  

“This method of advertising is free but I wonder if the company has the approval and blessing of the HDB or the town council before it resorts to this ingenious way of advertising.

“If this were allowed,  we will soon see hundreds of plastic pockets in the lift lobby before the month is up.”
