This carpark in Clementi is reserved on ‘pubic holidays’, says an amused STOMPer Passingby, who spotted the typo error in the sign.
A letter ‘L’ was left out in the sign, causing its meaning to be changed from ‘public holidays’ to ‘pubic holidays’.
In an email, STOMPer Passingby says:
“I parked my car at this HDB carpark in Clementi.
“This sign caught my attention as I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me since the street lamps were dimly lit close to midnight.
“Upon closer inspection, the sign reads: ‘Pubic Holiday’.
“It’s not a prank and neither has the letter ‘L’ fallen off because the surface area is smooth.
“There is a correct version on the reverse side of the sign though.”
