Corridor lights down, conservancy rates up: Why nothing done?

STOMPer Commuters is unhappy that while Service and Conservancy charges are up, corridor lights at this block of flats in Hougang are still not functioning properly.

In an email today (Mar 14) he writes:

"The corridor and staircase lights at Block 642 Hougang Avenue 8 have been giving problems for the past week.

"All lights at this block only light up at 7:50 pm daily. By this time it is already dark at every level.

"The opposite block does not have this problem. As the town council is going to raise the Service and Conservancy charge, they should give better service to residents, so as to be on par to the increment.

"I hope the town council rectifies the issue promptly."

they built more things than we have to pay more ,they always say for the benefit of the residents but we all know who benefit most from it.don't complain now, you all voted for them so pay & pay loh.

tell them first before STOMPing here? the late turn-on could be the timer's fault. 7.50pm is much too late. give them a chance to serve and the increase in onservacy is unavoilable as we all knnow. SOMPers are right...what can we do....

The Town Councils are raising the s&cc due to "higher costs" - what's that? Its the new salary scale of the Town Council's CEO and senior management!

U dont wanna pay. They haul ur ass to court. If still u dont wanna pay, they throw u in jail. After that they will still ask u to pay. If still never pay, they sell ur flat and take their money. This is Town Council The Almighty,ordianed by our MPs when they vote for the enhanced Town Council Act.
