Strange glowing lights seen over the Bukit Timah area

For a week, STOMPer HR has been witnessing these strange glowing lights over the Bukit Timah area and wonders if there is a plausible explanation for this phenomena.

“Since one week ago, I have been seeing the sky glowing bight and dim.

“It looks like there's a huge forest fire far in front.

“Usually this happens every night after 10pm, even till midnight.

“The sky will glow bright and dim randomly for about 20 seconds, turn black and start glowing after another 15mins.

“It may be some sort of lights, but it can’t be so powerful that the entire sky is lit orange bright.

“This happens at the basketball field sky of Toh Yi Drive, facing a stretch of Toh Tuck bunglows.

“Any idea where the lights are from?”

It is from an incineration plant burning rubbish at P.Bukom.

I think It is the thunder.On 14 March 2010,There were red lights which I can see from Clementi.I believe is the thunder and lightning.Every fortnightly ,from Clementi,we can see the red light as well.

I saw it too. Thought it was forest fire due to the crazy weathers these days, but since it started rainin few days ago. I changed my mind. Its quite scary to witness a patch of lit orange sky in the dark. Perhaps they should have done that durin the day.. Anyway, is jus my thoughts. Afterall, the government makes the decision.
