STOMPer Gregory Ng spotted this fire at a Hougang flat on March 9. According to the STOMPer, residents had to run down to the ground floor due to the thick smoke.

The STOMPer said in an email:

"There was a blazing fire on the 5th floor of Block 165 at Lorong Ah Soo, on 9th March at 10.20pm.

"Smoke was everywhere and residents had to run down from Block 165 to the ground floor as smoke was thick at the upper floors."

STOMP also made queries with SCDF.

According to SCDF, the fire occurred in a bedroom but residents in the above and adjacent units had been evacuated before SCDF arrived.

One resident also complained of breathing difficulties.
