This STOMPer, Chili, is confused over a primary school's rationale behind its fencing of a fitness corner. The STOMPer claims that it is not fenced up entirely and may cause danger to children playing in it. Chili's feedback to the school however did not result in any appropriate action taken towards the matter.
The STOMPer tells us in an email:
"This photo was taken at a neighbourhood primary school at Jurong East Street 13. The fitness corner is fenced up except for one area which is left open.
"I don't understand the purpose not fencing up the entire area. If kids are not meant to play without the guidance of teachers, the whole fitness area should be fenced up, not just parts of it.
"The kids are playing in it. Some parents may find it dangerous while others may wonder why it must be fenced up to refrain kids from playing.
"Personally, I have provided feedback to one of the staff in the general office. He came out to chase the kids away and went to the person in charge to ask about the fencing.
"After some days, no further action was taken. Is it because it is just a neighbourhood school so it is not as efficient as other prestigious schools?"
