STOMPer Rickety driver wonders if this Lamborghini driver was afraid his car might be accidentally scratched and so, parked a distance away.

The STOMPer said in an email to us today (Feb 9):

"I was parking my boneshaker at the carpark beside the McDonald's restaurant at West Coast Park, West Coast Highway when suddenly a sleek black car pulled to a halt beside me but with an empty lot in between.

"The driver slammed the door and made his way to the restaurant.

"I was wondering why he left a gap between his car and my car. Was he afraid that I might accidentally scratch his car when I leave the carpark?

"I just sold my 4-room HDB flat in Changi for $245,000 and I was told by a friend that the cheapest Lamborghini on the road costs $240,000.

"It then dawned upon me that beside me was a 4-room flat moving on the roads of Singapore.

"My boneshaker will be sent to the scrapyard soon and I may soon retire from driving as age is catching up on me."
