Tree grows through air vent of Turf Club carpark

STOMPer Arborist was amused by the sight of a tree growing through the air vent of a two-level carpark at Turf Club.

He told us in an email today (Feb 7):

"These pictures were taken at the car park at Turf Club Road. Part of the carpark is now occupied by shops and showrooms rented out to second-hand car dealers.

"The air vents of the two -level carpark were sealed and now it appears that the trees are growing through the roof.

"Anyway, these trees provide welcome relief to motorists who park here on a sultry afternoon."

I remembered 25 to 30 years ago, there was this 6 storey tall coconut tree growing out from the middle of an attap roofed shack at sungei road. This shack was just after the cowboy bar pub along bencoolen street.
