STOMPer JFK spotted these two burnt-out husks of Mercedes cars at a Woodlands multi-story carpark and wonders what happened.
STOMP found that the fire, which started at 3pm on Sep 30, may have been caused by sparklers.
In the STOMPer's message dated Oct 2:
"Saw these burnt out cars while parking on the night of Sep 30 at deck B3, Blk 358A, Woodlands Ave 5.
"The incident must have happened a day or so earlier since the fire has long since been put out and police cordoned off the area.
"Anyone knows about this? I don't seem to read about the news in the papers or on TV lately.
"I feel sorry for the owners. I have blanked out the number plates for privacy."
Did sparklers start fire?
STOMP understands from The New Paper that the fire happened at 3pm on Sep 30.
An SCDF spokesman said that the fire was put out in 10mins but the cars were charred shells by then. The firefighters found seven burnt sparkler sticks around both cars, and four empty sparkler boxes nearby.
Said SCDF spokesman, Col N Subhas: "We are treating this as a suspicious fire and do not rule out foul play."
