Why are Pasir Ris lifts not always cleaned & maintained?

A STOMPer wonders if the lifts at Pasir Ris Street 21 are only cleaned and maintained infrequently, as she says the place is filthy and emergency numbers are missing from various lift signboards.

In her email to STOMP today (Apr 13), the STOMPer wrote:

"At least three to eight signboards were missing with emergency numbers at Pasir Ris Street 21 blocks 208- 235.

"These happen to be Pasir Ris Iconic Executive Aparments, which are supposed to be clean.

"I see these lifts landing signs and I wonder how could one call the hot lines when the Emergency Contacts are missing?

"Look at the dirty state of the lifts ? See how dirty the Emergency press buttons are?

"There has been no daily lift cleanings and littering all around the block is common.

"Upgrading of lift is an unheard of issue. The floor mat is damaged for months, but no action to replace at all.
"Worst still are the state of dirt and litter by smokers at the void decks near the lifts are eyesores.

"In one of the pictures, there is a stain, but it has come from habitual smokers who litter over there on the same spot everyday.

"Is it because there is no ministerial walk, that is why there is no need to clean and maintain the area?"

I live at block 216 and I totally agree with you!The lifts at my block are always filthy and there was an instance whereby for a few days one of the lifts smelled strongly of vomit but no cleaners were in sight...also there were times when I saw this Bangladeshi worker using the same mop he used to mop the lift floor to wipe the walls clean but only made it dirtier and smellier...

At Pasir Ris TC.PPL there don't know what resident's want. They spent millions on white elephant projects, like bicycle tracks. Thinking everyone own a bicycle at Pasir Ris. When things urgently needs implementing/upgrading they will totally ignored completely, things that are counter-productive,they will speedly endorsed it. Example, the multi storey car park has reached it maximum capacity. The roof top parking at mosts nights are filled. Beside climbing 5 lever, residents have to endure rains, heat and birds dropping daily, they are paying the fees of a cover carpark.TC recently spent tens of thousand resurfacing a underused basketball court which is still in very good state.Half of the amoumts could have been utilize by installing shade at the roof top. Unfortunately, after resurfacing the basketball courts, the sight of discarded rubbishs around the courts are a common sight every morning

I just don't understand why Pasir Ris TC so crazy about bicycle tracks in the first place. Not only is this a white elephant project, these tracks needs more future funds to upkeep. The logical point is, where are the users ???? Did TC seriously commissional a hands-on survey with residents prior to giving the green light for such unproductive costly project???

Aiyoh !!If there's a award for the island worst TC , Pasir Ris top it all. Those BirdBrains are not qualifly at all. My executive Block monthly conservancy charges at S$80 ( excluding S$90 for carpark). Do you know they have only one indian cleaner( multi tasking as cleaner, rubbish collector, sweeper, rubbish bin washer, carpark cleaner and washer , corridor sweeper baskerball court cleaner etc etc.) handing 8 block of flats and a multi carpark. Can you imagine each blk has 7 flr. totaling 56 flr of corridor spaces to clean. TC pays him a miserable amount of slightly over S$1k per months which in India is quite a sum. I guess, Pasir Ris TC is saving all this millions of dollars wanting to built more bicycle track or investing more leeman brothers stocks.
